DPM Binh โ who oversees the Vietnam International Financial Centre (IFC) โ and his team travelled down to learn from Singaporeโs experience in developing its financial sector. Mr Heng and DPM Binh exchanged views on how Singapore and Vietnam shared strong economic ties, with Mr Heng also welcoming the deep innovation linkages between both countries. Mr Heng also touched on how nurturing talent was a critical aspect of Singaporeโs efforts in driving research and innovation. Noting that Vietnam had a promising RIE talent pool, Mr Heng shared that he was heartened that in the recent Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2026 organised by NRF, Vietnamese participants were among the more than 400 promising young researchers from around the world. They immersed themselves in the week-long programme to gain insights into Singaporeโs innovation ecosystem, learn from leading scientists, and build lasting networks in the scientific community.๐ NRF looks forward to continuing our collaboration with Vietnam to nurture the next generation of scientific and innovation leaders, and to support more opportunities for talent to connect, collaborate and create together.๐ #SingaporeVietnam #Research #Innovation #Startups #Talent #ScienceCollaboration #GYSS2026 #RIE2030
