𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲-𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀🤝 𝗡𝗥𝗙 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗮𝘁 had a fruitful discussion yesterday with 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗠𝗿 𝗡𝗴𝘂𝘆𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗵, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗗𝗣𝗠) of Vietnam and the Vietnamese delegation. DPM Binh – who oversees the Vietnam International Financial Centre (IFC) – and his team travelled down to learn from Singapore’s experience in developing its financial sector. Mr Heng and DPM Binh exchanged views on how Singapore and Vietnam shared strong economic ties, with Mr Heng also welcoming the deep innovation linkages between both countries. Mr Heng also touched on how nurturing talent was a critical aspect of Singapore’s efforts in driving research and innovation. Noting that Vietnam had a promising RIE talent pool, Mr Heng shared that he was heartened that in the recent Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2026 organised by NRF, Vietnamese participants were among the more than 400 promising young researchers from around the world.
