With a focus on superconducting qubits, Prof Martinis has been at the forefront of developing high-fidelity qubits essential for scalable quantum processors.ย Prior to founding Qolab, he was a key figure behind Googleโ€™s quantum supremacy experiment, leading the hardware team that demonstrated a quantum computer outperforming the worldโ€™s best classical supercomputers.
