The two new centres are: ๐ฌ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ธ-๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ-๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐: using AI and automated experimentation to accelerate chemistry discoveries into scalable, sustainable solutions for energy and industry. ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ธ-๐ฆ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด:ย combining art-science research to develop actionable frameworks for how communities understand and respond to environmental change. Both centres will also nurture the next generation of researchers, creating pathways for young scientists to train across disciplines and build international networks early in their careers. In his Guest-of-Honour speech, Mr Heng reaffirmed Singapore's ambition to be a nexus where research delivers real-world impact, and expressed that the Max Planck Centres are a significant step forward in that vision. It is a vision that is also embodied in Singapore's Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2030 (RIE2030) plan - that frontier science must go beyond the laboratory to deliver meaningful impact for industry, society, and the world. Congratulations to the centre directors and researchers from NTU,ย National University of Singapore, A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research, and the Max Planck Society ๐ #NRFsg #RIE2030 #Research #Innovation #Singapore #MaxPlanck #SingaporeGermany
