In CTech by Calcalist's 2026 International VC Survey, Canaan general partner and Novee Investor Joydeep Bhattacharyya put it plainly: the startups that win are the ones building focused AI, preprocessing data correctly, deeply understanding the domain, and creating systems that make AI meaningfully more useful in practice. In cybersecurity, he noted, context matters enormously. Defensibility comes from proprietary workflows, compounding data advantage, and domain expertise built over time. That's the bet we made from day one. A purpose-trained offensive model, not a general LLM. Deep contextual understanding of each environment, not pattern-matching against known vulnerability classes.
