𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗦 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮 Novartis has announced plans to build a new 56,200-square-foot API manufacturing facility in Morrisville, North Carolina, supported by a $220 million investment. The site will focus on manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for solid dosage tablets, capsules and RNA therapeutics, further strengthening Novartis’s end-to-end manufacturing capabilities in the US and supporting Novartis Contract Manufacturing’s ability to better serve customers with integrated, scalable manufacturing solutions. The new facility is expected to create more than 700 jobs across Durham and Wake Counties by the end of 2030 and will expand Novartis’s presence in North Carolina to five facilities across three sites. “Last year we committed to adding seven new facilities in the US, and today we finalize our plans to expand our US manufacturing and R&D footprint in the US.
