C3 glomerulopathy (C3G) is an ultra-rare, progressive kidney disease driven by dysregulation of the alternative complement pathway, leading to C3 protein deposits that damage the kidneys. Because symptoms often resemble other kidney conditions, C3G can be difficult to recognize, and delayed diagnosis may contribute to serious long-term kidney damage. As the World Congress of Nephrology convenes, increasing awareness and shared understanding of C3G remain critical to supporting earlier recognition.
