Every year, the EFPIA WAIT Indicator highlights a challenge: Europe has a strong foundation in medical innovation, but patients still wait too long to benefit from it. ⏳This year’s findings show that the average time between regulatory approval and real‑world access to medicines now stands at 597 days. That's over 90 days longer than in 2019. For people living with serious conditions, this is not just a statistic; it has real implications for their health, their families, and their quality of life. Addressing this challenge will require coordinated action across Europe; simplifying reimbursement pathways, improving alignment between national systems, and creating predictable conditions for faster, more consistent patient access. At Novartis, we work with partners across the ecosystem to close this gap because innovation has its full impact when it reaches patients in time.   👉 Link in the comments to read the full report   #NovartisEurope EFPIA - European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations
