Delighted to have once again been a key part of the NZDIA New Zealand Defence Industry Association Inc Space Technology & Innovation event. This event continues to play a vital role in bringing together New Zealand’s space and defence sectors, alongside international partners, to strengthen collaboration and showcase capability. The calibre of engagement was outstanding with strong participation across industry, government and allied partners. The level of Australia–New Zealand collaboration in particular was a highlight, reinforcing the strength of our shared approach to space and defence innovation. A highlight was seeing our General Manager New Zealand, Iain (Jude) Rushmere, contribute to the programme alongside keynote remarks from Defence Minister Chris Penk MP. It was also great to hear the feedback following Jude’s presentation, with many attendees gaining a broader appreciation of Nova’s capabilities, from systems integration through to space, beyond our well-known T&E heritage. Events like this reinforce the growing importance of space in national security and the value of trusted partnerships across industry, government, and allied nations.
