A few days ago, the sad news reached us that Prof. Thijs de Graauw has passed away. Thijs was a pioneer and world expert in infrared and sub-mm astronomy and, in a career spanning many decades, has made numerous contributions to astronomy, both worldwide and within the Netherlands. Our thoughts are with his wife Herma, daughters Jessica and Gwen, and his extended family. https://lnkd.in/ec3fzaN2
