Introducing HydroTrack, a smart hydration coaster created by BSc Product Design student Cameron Sandy to tackle dehydration in hospitals. Inspired by his mother’s nursing experience and his grandfather’s dementia journey, Cameron designed a discreet device that sits under a patient’s cup and gently reminds them to drink using a weight‑sensing load cell and soft LED prompts. It’s waterproof, wirelessly charged, made from recycled polypropylene and built to integrate seamlessly into hospital routines. Dr Joseph Stewart, Senior Lecturer in Product Design at NTU, said: “Cameron has created a simple, scalable solution to one of the NHS’s most persistent yet overlooked challenges.” We’re so #ProudToBeNTU 🙌 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eBF6-44K #ProductDesign #InnovativeDesign
