A team from our London office led by partner Owen Mulholland has advised long-term client Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) on its investment in up to 40 Airbus widebody aircraft. The transaction includes a firm order for 18 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft as part of a wider programme valued at more than US$10 billion at list prices, marking the largest investment in SAS’ history. The project forms part of SAS’s long-term strategy to modernise its fleet and support more efficient and sustainable operations. The A330-900neo platform, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, offers improved fuel efficiency, lower emissions and enhanced passenger experience. The aircraft will support SAS’ international network and long-haul operations from its Copenhagen hub, enabling additional capacity and route development.
