#6 Artist Spotlight Kamila Mróz (Poland) Image Christ of the nations? High frequency driven single electrode plasma sculpture, flameworked borosilicate glass, 2017. Glass is like me – tough and fragile at the same time. I mostly employ a flameworking technique and neon light, which creates delightful and often unexpected effects. I am fascinated by the transformation of cold solid glass into a molten state, it offers unique opportunities of sculpting. Nature has always informed and inspired my creativity, and it is the primary influence for my sculptures. Recently I have been touched upon socio-political issues in my country as well as started research and working with plasma art. Kamila exhibited 'Christ of the nations?' at the Ireland Glass Biennale co-funded by Creative Europe and forms part of the Imagining Sustainable Glass Network Europe (ISGNE) project.
