The second of this year's regularly scheduled functional MRI and diffusion tractography workshops, hosted by the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Andrei Holodny Lab, was an opportunity for NNL application scientists Douglas Peters, PhD and Sakthi Mahalingam (Mali) Thiyagarajan to both learn and teach with the best. NordicNeuroLab’s solutions are designed to streamline #fMRI and tractography procedures and post-processing, and we’re grateful for the chance to share - first hand - how our technology supports advances in neuroradiology. This 3-day program began by establishing a strong biophysical foundation for fMRI, followed by a deep dive into clinical workflows, hardware, and problem-solving, then working sessions with real patient cases. With topics ranging from resting state, applications for epilepsy and radiation oncology, and the potential for MR guided focused ultrasound and deep brain/transcranial magnetic stimulation, it was unmistakably clear that clinical fMRI and tractography are no longer considered niche tools. We’re grateful for the collaboration with Dr. Andrei Holodny, along with Drs. Robert Young , Luca Pasquini, Kyung Peck, Brandon Imber, Tim Shepherd and Kristen Leeman, as they continue to pioneer the use of MR technology to enhance pre-surgical planning and post-surgical outcomes.
