🧵 A yarn giant just placed a major bet on nonwovens. Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil San. ve Tic. A.Ş. — one of Turkey's established blended-yarn manufacturers, in business since 1987 — is investing in a new ANDRITZ neXline® Wetlace production line, aimed squarely at the sustainable and flushable wipes market. Why this one's worth watching: 🔹 Göliplik has built its name on blended yarns across four facilities in Bursa for decades. This Wetlace investment is a genuine diversification into nonwovens, not just an adjacent tweak. 🔹 Knowledge transfer is built into the deal — Göliplik's operating team will train at Andritz's nonwovens facility in France ahead of commissioning, backed by additional on-site support in Türkiye. 🔹 Owner and president Erdogan Seremt called it a deliberate step into nonwovens, built on a trust-based technology partnership, and described it as the start of a new chapter for sustainable wipes production in the country. Andritz Nonwovens & Textile VP Tobias Schäfer pointed to structured project management and tight engineering collaboration as the reason the project has stayed on track. It's another sign that capital and expertise keep flowing into nonwovens from adjacent textile sectors — and that flushable, dispersible wipes remain one of the most closely watched growth categories in the industry. Where do you see the flushable wipes market heading next? Drop your take below. 👇 #Nonwovens #Wetlace #FlushableWipes #Sustainability #Andritz #Turkey #TextileIndustry
