Yesterday our President and CEO Justin Hotard, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and federal, state, and local government officials visited our Allentown site to commemorate the $30M investment to expand the site. The expansion is expected to double our Pennsylvania workforce to 500+ highly skilled jobs, while generating a projected $500M economic impact over 5 years. The Allentown facility is one of only a small handful in the United States capable of producing the critical photonic advanced test, packaging, and optical modules required for modern AI and telecom infrastructure. These components enable the massive data transfer, high capacity, and ultra-low latency required by hyperscalers, cloud providers, and enterprises. By boosting the site’s production capacity up to 10x, we are manufacturing optical networking technologies engineered specifically for lower power consumption and greater operational efficiency. This massive expansion reinforces Pennsylvania’s growing role as a premier destination for telecommunications technology and advanced AI infrastructure.
