Today we celebrate the fifth anniversary of Nobian! Reaching this milestone is a moment to reflect on the progress made so far, and the role we continue to play in supporting a more sustainable and resilient chemical industry as well as the production of salt as a critical raw material. We're proud of our achievements over the past years. Building on our 100 years of heritage, we have strengthened our position as a European leader in solution mining, salt production, electrochemistry, and energy storage caverns. At the same time, we have steadily embedded sustainability across our operations and product portfolio through our Grow Greener Together approach. A lot has happened over the past five years, with major developments in sustainability and across our business. Here are a few highlights: - Four consecutive EcoVadis Platinum ratings, placing us in the top 1% globally, reflecting continued improvement in our sustainability performance  - Expansion of our certified, low‑carbon portfolio, including ISCC PLUS-certified chloromethanes, supporting our customers in reducing their carbon footprint - Large-scale production of RFNBO-certified green hydrogen, starting in Rotterdam and extended to Frankfurt, providing reliable access to green hydrogen that meets EU's strict sustainability criteria - In 2024, Nobian became the first company in the Netherlands to sign a tailor-made agreement with the Dutch government, supporting our ambition to reach near-zero CO₂ emissions by 2030 - Secured permits for several of our salt mining locations in Twente and Groningen - Continued progress in reducing emissions through electrification, e-flex, energy efficiency and smarter use of resources, helping lower our environmental impact - Advancing circularity, including initiatives to recycle rare metals used in electrolysis, supporting more efficient and sustainable value chains - The building and commissioning of our new electrified (MVR) salt plant in Mariager As Michael Koenig, CEO of Nobian, says: “Reaching this five-year milestone provides a moment to recognize our progress.
