Today, Nobian had the honor of welcoming the Dutch Minister and Deputy Minister for Climate & Green Growth, Stientje van Veldhoven and Jo-Annes de Bat, to our salt‑based chlorine chemistry cluster in Rotterdam. Along with our partners Shin-Etsu and Huntsman Corporation, we were proud to host their very first formal working visit to the Dutch chemical industry since their inauguration. As one of Europe’s most integrated and circular chemical clusters, we demonstrated how shared infrastructure, resource exchange, and the re-use of process streams enable highly efficient production while significantly reduce our environmental footprint. This is circular chemistry in action. Our colleagues in Rotterdam were eager to educate the (deputy) minister(s) on the fundamentals of chlorine chemistry and the importance of salt-based value chains. We also engaged in an important dialogue about safeguarding the competitiveness of the Dutch chemical sector, which is crucial for maintaining resilient Dutch and European value chains. To accelerate green growth, it is essential that we (in this order): • Quickly reduce the very high electricity costs in the Netherlands to align with neighboring countries. • Ensure a level playing field against unfair global competition. • Stimulate demand for sustainable materials. We thank the minister, the deputy minister, the Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth, and all partners, for their constructive visit. Collaboration between industry and policymakers is vital to overcoming the challenges ahead. Only by working together can we #GrowGreenerTogether.   Port of Rotterdam | Gemeente Rotterdam | Arne Weverling | Robert Simons | Boudewijn Siemons |Bas Janssen | Albert Keukens | Rob van Melis | Karlo Van Dam | Edwin van Scherrenburg | Toine van de Lindeloof | Jorn van der Meer | Deltalinqs Photo/beeld: Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat    #DeIdustrieMaaktHetHier #chemistry #salt #Nobian #sustainability #chemie #kgg #GrowGreenerTogether
