The latest investigation into grooming gangs in Hull has been closed by Humberside Police with no further action taken: Jason Farrell is the first to reveal on Sky News, speaking to victims who tell him they now want Baroness Anne Longfield's grooming gang inquiry to come to their city. It’s the second time the case has been closed. The initial investigation, Operation Marksman, was wound down in June 2021. However, it was reopened in August 2022 as Operation Conference after Sky News (Jason, Liz Lane and Sarah O'Connell) produced a series of reports revealing evidence of organised abuse in Hull.
