Why big problems require a collaboration BOOST 🚀 At Create the Future 2026, the message stood out: the toughest challenges are simply too big to solve alone. In our session with Christopher Roos (Schiphol), Romy van Kessel and Jos Werner (nlmtd) shared how BOOST brought together five leading airports — Schiphol, Heathrow, Brussels Airport, Incheon International Airport Corporation and Avinor — not around a bold vision, but around a shared pain: ➡️ physically demanding work ➡️ processes and systems haven’t changed since decades ➡️ shortage of baggage workers with rising passenger volumes Instead of solving the same problem five times, these airports chose to collaborate. And it works. BOOST is now a collaborative innovation program where: ✔️ 12+ shared pilots test robotics and automation in real operations ✔️ learnings (both failures and successes) are openly shared ✔️ innovation is accelerated across the entire ecosystem The result? Not just better technology, but a new way of working. One that reduces physical strain, improves efficiency, and moves the industry towards the Future of Work. 👉 Want to see how this works in practice?
