NITI Aayog hosted a high-level Japanese delegation from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)’s Trade Policy Bureau, led by Director-General Mr. Masayoshi Arai. The meeting, chaired by NITI Aayog CEO Ms. Nidhi Chibber, was attended by Program Directors Shri Sanjeet Singh, Shri Anshu Bhardwaj, and Shri Vivek Kumar Singh. The discussions focused on advancing the India–Japan partnership in green energy, sustainable mobility, and long-term infrastructure development. Key areas of engagement included the Next-Generation Mobility Partnership (NGMP), collaboration on biofuels, resilient clean-tech supply chains, policy alignment for low-carbon growth, and opportunities to catalyse Japanese institutional investment into India’s sustainable infrastructure ecosystem.
