A few things in life will never cease to amaze me. Put on a blazer. Accumulate a few decades of experience. Complete a weekend executive program at an IIM. And suddenly… “Visionary Leader | Proud IIMian | Thought Leader.” Don’t get me wrong - executive programs at IIMs are valuable. But attending one doesn’t magically make you an IIM MBA graduate. Just like wearing a blazer doesn’t make you a leader. Leadership isn’t stitched into a jacket. It’s not measured in years. And it certainly isn’t borrowed from a brand name. The funniest part? Corporate inflation is often self-inflicted. Because the first product we all learn to market… is ourselves. 😉
