Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDC) in Renewable Energy & Grid Integration, jointly conducted by National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) and National Power Training Institute (NPTI), has successfully commenced its second semester at NISE. This 𝐨𝐧𝐞-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 is designed to build skilled professionals in the power and renewable energy sector. The 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐏𝐓𝐈, 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐮𝐫, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐡𝐢, and have now joined NISE for the renewable energy-focused second semester. The upcoming phase will emphasize Solar Energy, Green Hydrogen, Solar Thermal Technologies, wind energy and their practical applications, providing hands-on and industry-relevant exposure. On 19 March 2026, the second semester was formally inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Mohammad Rihan, Director General, NISE, in the presence of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚, Director, NPTI. During his address, Prof (Dr) Mohammad Rihan highlighted the critical role of electricity and skilled power sector professionals in driving the nation’s economic growth and achieving India’s ambitious Net Zero target by 2070. He also drew an insightful parallel with the 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐤𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐢, 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧—making their contribution vital for sustainable development.
