Why the "Double-Buttering" Technique is Non-Negotiable for Sintered Stone: In the world of high-performance surfaces, the difference between a lifelong installation and a structural failure often comes down to what you can’t see: the adhesive bed. As we push the boundaries of design with Zirconio Stones and XO Slabs, we must also elevate our technical standards. Standard tiling methods simply don't suffice for these advanced materials. To ensure the longevity and safety of every project, our latest Work Method Statement (WMS) mandates the Double-Buttering Technique. The Technical Breakdown: Parallel Ridges: Adhesive must be applied in parallel lines—never criss-crossed—to allow air to escape during placement. 90% Coverage: This method is the only way to achieve the required 90% minimum contact between the slab and the substrate. Adhesive Science: We specify C2TES2 classification adhesive for its high bond strength and superior deformability, essential for managing structural stresses. At Niro Ceramic Group, we believe that aesthetic elegance must be backed by engineering precision. By adhering to these rigorous protocols, we secure the future of our architectural spaces.
