Every year, several former colleagues find their way back at NIRAS. The reasons differ, but one thing is certain: we’re genuinely proud they chose to return. For Simon Winther Schor, returning was less about the role itself, and more about coming back to the environment and community at NIRAS. “I am very socially driven. When I first joined NIRAS, I went all in with training, social events, and clubs. There is room for a real community here.” Equally important was professional access. “We probably have a specialist for everything I can imagine, and if I need a specialist, no matter how narrow the field, there’s always someone I can call. The distance to deep expertise is incredibly short." Returning also meant returning to a role where his skills were clearly needed. “Here, I am someone people reach out to directly. That gives weight to the work, and motivation.”
