As part of our 150th anniversary, we have created a new exhibition on board the TESO ferry Texelstroom, the route that connects Den Helder and Texel, carrying over a million passengers each year and one that many NIOZ colleagues know by heart as part of their daily commute. The exhibition shows NIOZ then and now, combining historic and modern images and objects to highlight how marine research has evolved over the past 150 years ๐ฌ๐ธ NIOZ colleagues worked together to make the exhibition happen๐ค A special thanks to NIOZ National Marine Facilities for creating two beautiful 3D-printed replicas. We are very grateful to Koninklijke N.V. Texels Eigen Stoomboot Onderneming [TESO] for making this unique location available, allowing us to share our story with such a wide audience. Many thanks as well to DVC Sign for producing the exhibition panels and supporting the installation, and to das Studio for the design of the exhibition walls. The exhibition will be on display throughout the year in the Noordzeezaal on the Texelstroom. Going on a trip to Texel? Make sure you stop by!
