🌊 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 – 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟏𝟓𝟎-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬! On 24 June, Prof. Joanne Preston (Institute of Marine Sciences, University of Portsmouth) will present Joining the blue dots – defining seascape connectivity to reimagine nature restoration ambitions. In this lecture, Joanne takes the audience on a journey through lost, degraded and fragmented marine ecosystems along European coasts, and explores why restoring and reconnecting these seascapes is vital for biodiversity, resilience and human wellbeing. She will also show how marine ecological connectivity can contribute to international climate and biodiversity goals and help shape future restoration ambitions.
