Data Lead – Startblokken (DIF) | Head Coach – Denmark Women’s Sevens | Sport Innovation On & Off the Field
This weekend in Manchester reminded me why I coach 🏉✨ Together with 14 brilliant coaches from across Europe, I joined the Rugby Europe Women’s Coaching Academy. Four days that challenged me, inspired me, and pushed me to reflect. Looking back, there are four key takeaways I’ll carry forward: 1️⃣ Perspective – stepping back from daily routines to reflect on the kind of coach I want to be, and how my decisions shape the environments I create. 2️⃣ Growth – practical tools, shared experiences, and honest conversations to keep developing both on and off the field. 3️⃣ Inspiration – from world-class rugby and powerful voices in the women’s game, reminding me why this sport matters. 4️⃣ Connection – the friendships and trust built with coaches who all share the same goal: pushing the women’s game forward. For me, coaching is about more than rugby: it’s about creating spaces where people grow, connect, and thrive. I hope to carry this forward from Manchester into Danish rugby. A big thanks to the Coach Developers Phil Kearns, Sascha Werlich, Tamara Taylor and Clarissa Murphy, and the team putting all this together, Charlie Brown, Petra Druskovic and Melissa Wright. And a massive shout out to those who I got to share the journey with: Anna-Lena Swartz - Catarina Ribeiro - Carlota Méliz Pérez - Cécile Delourme - Fabian Weidinger - Heidi Hennessy - Karolina Jaszczyszyn - Maria Spiteri - naama badihi - Nele Pien - Pien Selbeck - Rahel Bosshard - Sára Lea Exnerová - Zsuzsanna Jakab A lastly, to Rugby Europe for organising such a great initiative and Rugby Danmark for the opportunity to participate.
