Democracy works best when people are part of the conversation. And what better place to have that conversation than at the People Dialogue Festival 2026. As part of the broader Promoting Inclusive Electoral Reforms in Kenya Consortium (PIERK) consortium, we joined thousands of citizens, leaders, youth, and civil society actors in an open space dedicated to dialogue on the future of democracy in Kenya. From conversations on youth leadership and political participation to reflections on inclusive electoral reforms, the festival reminded us that democracy is not just about elections — it’s about everyday engagement, accountability, and active citizenship. Grateful to everyone who stopped by to engage, challenge ideas, and imagine a more inclusive democratic future together.
