Original Story written by my Wife Pooja Bhatia The road to where you want to go begins the moment you accept that your life is your responsibility. Every morning, Ravi sat at the small tea stall near the railway station in Mumbai and complained about his life. “The government is bad.” “My boss is unfair.” “My family doesn’t support me.” “Luck never favors me.” The tea seller, an old man named Hari, listened quietly every day. Ravi dreamed of opening his own delivery business. He had ideas, energy, and knew the city well. But years passed, and all he did was blame others for why he had not started. One rainy morning, Hari placed two cups on the counter. “Take this cup,” he said. Ravi picked the full cup of tea. “Now pour more tea into it.” “It’s already full,” Ravi replied. “Nothing more can go in.” Hari smiled. “Exactly. Your mind is full too—full of excuses, blame, and waiting for others. How will success enter?” Those words hit harder than the rain outside. That day, for the first time, Ravi stopped complaining and started acting. He sold his unused phone for money, borrowed a bicycle from his cousin, and began delivering parcels in the evenings after work. He learned routes, saved every rupee, and treated customers with respect. The first month was difficult. The second month was tiring. The third month was better. One year later, Ravi owned three delivery bikes and hired two young men who needed work. People praised his success and said, “You are lucky.” Ravi smiled and remembered the tea stall. Luck had not changed his life. Responsibility had. The next morning, he visited Hari and said, “You were right. No one else was coming to save me.” Hari handed him a cup of tea and said, “The day you stopped blaming the world was the day your world began to change.” Think about it and share your thoughts and the comments on the quality of the simple content.
