This sounds mean but we have to say it: Most people don't care what you did. They care about what it means for them. Those certificates on your wall and the designations after your name? Yeah. That's not going to get you hired. Do they matter? Absolutely. They signal commitment, dedication, education, and standards. (and you should be proud of them!) But your prospects didn't wake up thinking, "I sure hope I meet someone with a lot of letters after their name." They woke up thinking, "Am I going to be okay?" or "Will I be able to retire in 5 years?" So instead of leading with your accolades, make sure your audience knows why they are important. And it doesn't stop at those letters. You want to share your new website? Tell them why you redesigned it. Changed office locations? How do clients benefit? You won an award? What did you do for clients that got you there? Make your content about your audience and it will resonate so much more.
