Summer is around the corner and you might gearing up to slow down. Your clients are heading into graduation parties, vacations, long weekends, and lake days. Prospects are too, so they aren't thinking about money right now. Which honestly makes this one of the best times to stop living in production mode for a second and look at what is actually working. Go back through what you sent during the first half of the year. Find the content that generated responses, the emails with good open rates and clicks, and the posts that went nowhere. It is a lot easier to notice patterns when you are not scrambling to get the next thing out the door. Then take a hard look at the pieces that no longer match where the firm is now. Are you're credentials up to date? Do the pitch decks still work? Has your website copy needed updating since 2024... Before summer disappears entirely, give your future self a head start on fall. You can build out your content calendar for the rest of the year. Draft scripts and articles. Get those client events scheduled before the inboxes get flooded. And don't forget to invest in yourself. Read the book that has been sitting on your desk. Take the course you keep putting off. Spend an afternoon with a peer who runs a firm you admire. It can be tempting to use a slower season as an excuse to coast, but don't miss an opportunity to make your life easier in September!
