Year 3 UCL Medical Student | iBSc Remote Medicine @Imperial

I’m delighted to share that I have been awarded UCL Medical School’s Kershaw Prize for clinical and practical performance, for top performance in the Year 2 MBBS CPSA (OSCE). I’ve also been awarded the Charlotte Dixon 4th Prize for ranking 4th overall across the CPSA and AKT in Year 2, a distinction across Years 1 and 2 for ranking in the top 10% overall, and a merit in Year 2. If anything, this shows that it’s possible (and important) to keep a work-life balance in medical school. Highlights for me this year included competing for UCL Taekwondo across three national competitions - winning silver and bronze, two successful trips with UCL Wilderness Medicine Society, completing UCL Surgical Society’s Clinical Skills Course, playing bass in UCL Live Music Society and earning a place at Imperial College London - amongst many others. It’s been a difficult yet rewarding year that I’m glad to be done with, and I’m looking forward to starting clinical years with this solid preclinical foundation.
