Neil Rajan, who is Associate Deputy Director of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC): Newcastle and Co-Lead for the Skin Disease, Oral Disease and Immunogenomics research theme, has been featured in RARE Revolution Magazine®. In the article, "Healthy skin for all: Inside the BAD Skin Genetics Group's genomic revolution", Professor Rajan reflects on the progress made in understanding the genetic causes of skin conditions and how genomic testing is becoming an increasingly important part of routine dermatology care to help clinicians diagnose rare skin diseases more accurately, develop targeted treatments and build stronger partnerships with patients and families.
