Odoo Gold partner & Shopify Premier partner ➤ Co-founder & CEO at dear digital

Oh no. What is the marketing team going to make me wear this time. 😅 Because dear digital just became a Shopify Premier Partner. And if you were around for our Odoo Gold Partner announcement, you know exactly why I'm nervous. Golden suit. On camera. No regrets, but also… no desire to repeat it. Lara, I'm trusting you on this one. Anyway. The actual news. We're now one of three Shopify Premier Partners in Belgium. The only independent one. And if you’re active in tech, you know most partner statuses in tech are just pay-to-play. Hit a revenue threshold, check a few boxes, get a badge for your website. Nobody is really impressed. Nor should they be. This one's different. You can't buy Premier status. There's no application form. No fee. Shopify decides based on what they see: project complexity, delivery quality, merchant results and whether you're actually pushing the platform forward or just reselling it. That makes it one of the few recognitions in this space that's entirely based on output. For a company our size, in a market where most agencies either get acquired or partner up with a bigger network to survive, getting here independently feels like kind of a statement. We bet early on a stack that a lot of people in Belgium didn't take seriously yet. Shopify for commerce, Odoo for operations, connected through smart integrations. Because we saw how fast both platforms were evolving and we wanted to be ahead of that curve, not chasing it. The market caught up. The Premier status is a nice confirmation. But what I actually care about is that we got here by doing the work. No shortcuts, no network carrying us, no corporate umbrella. Just a team that keeps getting better at what they do. Now Lara, about that outfit… be gentle. 😅
