El concurso Fondecyt Regular de ANID Chile financia investigación científica orientada a generar nuevo conocimiento, seleccionados exclusivamente por la calidad y mérito de las propuestas y de quienes las lideran. Con 20 proyectos adjudicados en el Concurso ANID Fondecyt Regular 2026, la Universidad de La Frontera se posicionó en el segundo lugar a nivel nacional entre las universidades estatales regionales del país. Este resultado reafirma el avance sostenido de la institución en investigación competitiva y el compromiso de su comunidad académica con la generación de nuevo conocimiento. Fondecyt Regular es una de las convocatorias más relevantes del sistema chileno de investigación, orientada a financiar proyectos individuales que contribuyan al desarrollo científico en diversas áreas. La participación destacada de la UFRO en esta edición da cuenta del trabajo sistemático realizado por investigadoras e investigadores, así como del fortalecimiento progresivo de las capacidades institucionales. ANID Chile Fondecyt Regular program funds scientific research projects aimed at generating new knowledge, selected exclusively on the basis of the quality and merit of the proposals and their principal investigators. With 20 projects awarded in the 2026 Fondecyt Regular call, Universidad de La Frontera ranked 2nd nationwide among regional public universities. This result reaffirms the institution’s sustained progress in competitive research and the strong commitment of its academic community to the generation of new knowledge. Fondecyt Regular is one of the most significant funding calls within the Chilean research system, supporting individual projects that contribute to scientific development across a wide range of disciplines.
