The Supermarket Banana Cases: How the German Corporate Due Diligence in Supply Chains Act Applies in Practice - Open Access (https://lnkd.in/dRXfUmqc) This piece explains how the German Supply Chain Act applies in practice. It discusses the public enforcement mechanism that Germany has in place to ensure that large #companies respect fundamental #labour #rights in their global operations. It shows some advantages and limits of this mechanism in four concrete cases of #banana #supply #chains from Ecuador and Costa Rica to German supermarkets.
