On Wednesday the 10th of April, I presented my final year project alongside my classmates and good friends Sallyann O’Dwyer and John Madigan. Our thesis was a review on the relationship between gut microbiota, IBS and mental health, using interventional strategies. We have spent the duration of our final year on this thesis project and it was a great achievement to be awarded 1st place by Kerry representatives: Edward Costello and Cal Flynn for the best presentation for this project. I would like to thank our supervisor Fabiana Andréa Hoffmann Sardá for her valuable time and guidance for the duration of this project.
