PhD in Earth Science Freelance Geologist and Research Fellow at CNR IRPI (Padova)

28/01/2025 - 28/01/2026 One year has passed since my PhD investiture in Cádiz (Spain). Since that day, I decided to continue pursuing research alongside freelance work. It was a very tough choice, at times even unbearable 🙃, but one that has been fully rewarded by countless experiences and the many new friendships I’ve built along the way. I would like to thank everyone who has worked with me over the past year at different levels: the team at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, Angelo Ballaera,Giulia Bossi, Marco Cavalli just to mention a few; the Università degli Studi di Ferrara for the CARG project on Monte Grappa, togheter with Piero Gianolla, Alberto Riva and Marcello Caggiati; the Consorzio FABRE for infrastructure assessments with fabio minghini and Tiziano Padovan,ALESSANDRO PONTIN,Riccardo Fantina, Chiara Siorpaes for the for the countless projects carried out in the Dolomites. A lot has been done, and a lot is still in progress. I want to close this parenthesis as it began, with this text by Antonio Machado, which perfectly reflects how this year has passed: Caminante, son tus huellas el camino, y nada más; caminante, no hay camino: se hace camino al andar. Al andar se hace camino, y al volver la vista atrás se ve la senda que nunca se ha de volver a pisar. Caminante, no hay camino, sino estelas en la mar. Traveler, your footprints are the only road, nothing else. Traveler, there is no road; you make your own path as you walk. As you walk, you make your own road, and when you look back you see the path you will never travel again. Traveler, there is no road; only a ship’s wake on the sea.
