Co-Founder at Enera | Fixing EV Charging

Most people think chargers are usually the problem. Not true. The real issue is simpler. We put millions of first-time EV drivers into a system they don’t fully understand. They don’t know you can’t rapid charge from 0. That some cars won’t start charging with the doors open. And they definitely don’t know why they were just hit with a £45 pre auth. So they report a “broken charger,” support trusts them, resets the unit, and nothing changes because the hardware wasn’t the issue. One operator told me more than half of their calls are pure user education. A pretty big reeducation is needed. If you’re seeing the same thing, I’m curious how your team handles it.
