Only 6 million people, but 3 different healthcare systems? The idea behind Singapore’s approach: creating regional clusters of excellence while maintaining competition to drive innovation. This was just one of our takeaways last month when we at OneAIM hosted four students from NUS HealthX, a Singapore-based student initiative, for a week. With NUS HealthX, we share a clear mission: 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.  Through a mix of workshops and deep-dive discussions, we explored the differences in global healthcare delivery, medical education, and much more. But rather than on differences, we focused on our shared potential. We exchanged concrete ideas on how organizations like ours can actively contribute to the ecosystem and what our collaboration moving forward could look like. After my time in Shanghai, this visit was yet another reminder of why international exchange is so important to stay at the forefront of innovation. Thanks to the HealthX team for visiting us. See you soon (hopefully in Singapore)! 🇸🇬 Eva W., Anna Hohlweger, Leong Guang Shian, Maren Raab, Maren Schreiber, Raphael Franzen, Trusha Adeshara, Ng Chen Meng, Kong Kei-lyn, Ali Allameh
