To figure out exactly how much I was missing, I spent 10 days in Shanghai with the China Tech Fellowship As part of the program, we visited VCs (Soul Capital 心资本, Cathay Capital), Big Tech Companies such as Alibaba Group and LongShine Technology Group, Innovation Centers and many more. I’m not going to hit you with a list of "Top 3 Insights." I just have to say: 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟! Would I claim to understand China now? Surely not, but at least I got a little bit closer to it.
