𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜'𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂) Let me be honest with you. Sometimes I ask myself — 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? Why spend the time, the energy, the late nights trying to pull together an alumni community when everyone is already so busy just trying to keep up with life? 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁. AI is reshaping entire industries. People are being retrenched. Others are fighting to stay relevant. Careers that made sense five years ago are being reimagined almost overnight. And the pressure to adapt — to reskill, to reinvent, to keep moving — is real. But here's what I know to be true: 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. The right conversation at the right time can change everything. A senior who's already navigated the transition you're afraid of. A peer who's building something and just needs someone like you. A mentor who sees your potential before you do. These connections exist. They're just waiting to be made. 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴. This isn't about me. I'm not building this to put my name on something or to run an event for the sake of running one. I genuinely love bringing people together. I love watching strangers find common ground. I love the moment someone walks away from a conversation with a new idea, a new contact, a new sense of possibility. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 is what gets me up in the morning. We have 60,000 talented, creative, driven people — across industries, career stages, walks of life...but don't know each other. We're not helping each other. That's the gap I want to close. 𝗦𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸. Don't come because you have a polished elevator pitch ready. Don't come because your career is in the perfect place. Come because you're curious. Come because you want to meet one good person. Come because somewhere in that room is someone who gets where you're from — and might just help you get to where you're going. Leave with a new friend. Leave with a new idea. Leave with one connection that meant something. That's it. That's all I'm asking for.
