Predicting the trajectory of malignant MCA syndrome after ischaemic stroke - particularly knowing who should have decompressive hemicraniectomy and when to do it - is one of the most challenging calls in stroke care. Our latest review considers the current evidence in malignant MCA syndrome after ischaemic stroke. It was great to collaborate with colleagues from Neurosurgery and Rehabilitation Medicine, and we look forward to working together on improving the care for individuals presenting with malignant MCA syndrome.
