This National Reconciliation Week, nib employees took part in cultural immersion led by the Nikinpa Art Group, a collective of First Nations women on Awabakal Country. Guided by First Nations artists, teams painted gum leaves for shared artworks in our Newcastle and Sydney hubs, while learning about their significance in Sorry Business and the role art plays in connection and storytelling. It was an opportunity to support this year’s theme ‘All in’, recognising that we all can play a part in reconciliation, by coming together to listen, learn and reflect. Through nib’s Reconciliation Action Plan, we are focused on improving health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This includes supporting community-led initiatives, building respectful partnerships, and strengthening culturally safe experiences for our members and employees. This work continues, and we remain committed to where we can make meaningful difference. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gKKuCt7E
