🥳 Congratulations to Marie Curie UK’s Responsive Emergency Assessment and Community Team (REACT) in Bradford! 🎉 They won the national Working in Partnership Award at the NHS Excellence Awards for their pioneering partnership in delivering acute, high-quality palliative care in Bradford. They identify patients in crisis at the Bradford Royal Infirmary’s Emergency Department, part of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and provide rapid support. Their approach has reduced hospital bed stays from 38 to 17 days, saving over 20,000 bed days in total. Importantly it’s improved access to care for patients.
