‘Bringing healthcare closer to home.’ Meet Dr Jess Harvey, winner of the NHS Excellence Leadership Award. She talks us through the different initiatives she led to improve access to health and care services for a rural community in Shropshire. She worked in partnership with community services, local authorities and charities to redesign NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin’s services to create a ‘one-stop’ shop. The community hub combines GP services, sexual health, women’s health services and more, meaning that patients have faster access to higher quality care that’s closer to their homes.
