Follow these 7 BBQ tips from Food Standards Scotland to keep your summer sizzle safe: 1οΈβ£ Keep it clean β Wash hands, utensils & surfaces. 2οΈβ£ Keep raw & ready-to-eat foods apart β No cross-contamination! 3οΈβ£ Check the centre β Meat should be piping hot with no pink. 4οΈβ£ Use a food thermometer β 75Β°C inside means it's safe. 5οΈβ£ Chill it β Keep food in the fridge until you're ready to cook. 6οΈβ£ Marinate safely β In the fridge, not on the counter. 7οΈβ£ Donβt reuse BBQ sauce β If it touched raw meat, bin it!
