Today, NGO Girls celebrates its 7th anniversary. To mark this milestone, we are launching a new initiative — the One for Another ("Одна для одної") Emergency Support Fund. Over the years, we have repeatedly encountered situations where support is needed immediately — not tomorrow or in a few days. A woman may need a safe place to stay, transportation to reach safety, essential medication, or basic necessities for herself and her children. Unfortunately, most assistance mechanisms take time. In a crisis, time is often the most valuable resource. That is why we created the One for Another ("Одна для одної") Emergency Support Fund — a rapid financial assistance mechanism for women who have experienced violence and are facing a critical situation. Following an assessment by one of our case managers, emergency financial support can be provided within 24 hours. We are launching the fund with our own contribution of UAH 100,000. This is our first step. From here, we hope to build it together with everyone who shares our values.
