The German magazine SODI Weitwinkel published an article about the work of the NGO Girls, prepared by Dr Yuliya Sporysh, Director of the NGO Girls, and Anna Povkh GBV specialist. The interview appeared in issue 1/2026 and covers how it all began ten years ago with the first lectures on menstrual hygiene, the path to collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science, our work with the police, and how Ukrainian society is changing despite the war. “The NGO Girls is actively engaged on the international stage, advocating for the localisation of humanitarian aid in Ukraine and addressing the issue of gender equality. On all platforms available to us, we share experience of how women in Ukraine are living during the war, the challenges and dangers they face, and how ongoing crises affect their standard of living and psychological resilience”, said Anna Povkh. We thank the SODI e.V. team for their trust and kind words in their letter — and for the opportunity to share our work with an international audience.
