Yesterday, I had the opportunity to run a Next-Gen Rocketry workshop for students at an afterschool program in PS 96 in NYC. Over the session, students learned basic 'rocket science' like how rockets generate thrust, parts of a rocket, and the aerodynamic forces acting on it. What stood out most was their curiosity Within minutes, they were hypothesizing, testing, and refining their rockets like real engineers. Moments like these remind me why I started Next-Gen Rocketry: to make aerospace hands-on, accessible, and fun for every student, no matter where they are.
